Saturday and Sunday!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to update the blog this weekend, it was kind of crazy! Saturday was SUPER hot, but we still managed to do some things. First we went to this neat little lake, there were baby ducks and a HUGE turtle on a rock. The turtle went into the water before I got a picture. =(
Then we went to this crazy place with all of the cars stuck in the ground. They called it Carhenge! I guess it was some sort of sacred ritual place or something. There is another one somewhere made of rocks, but I don't know why. There were so many motorcyles in the parking lot too! I guess it is something called Sturgis. The bikers like to stop at the car place, must be a biker ritual ceremony or something!
We went to a park and played, but I didn't have time to take pictures, i was too busy having fun!!! Saturday night we went to the Drive-In ~Did you know those still exist? Me Neither~ We saw Wall-E and Indiana Jones. Wall-E was okay, and I slept through part of Indiana Jones. We parked the van, layed down all of the seats and watched the movie that way. It was great! I didn't get a picture because it was too dark, go figure!
On Sunday we drove home. I was pretty exhausted so I slept most of the way. We saw a LOT more bikers, going to Sturgis.
Here are some random pictures that didn't get posted yet!

Two States, One Day!

Sorry this blog is late. it was a late night last night. Today should be pretty tame, but I do think we are going to a Drive-in tonight to see Wall-E.

Today we decided to go to South Dakota. There is this awesome place where they have found 58 mammoth skeletons. They do tours through the sinkhole that they are currently excavating. It was fun!
This was a baby elephant. These things were HUGE! There was no way i was going to get on the big one!
Isn't this waterfall beautiful! It is on the mainstreet in Hot Springs, SD. Apparently it is man made, but it was still neat to see!
this is just a picture of the black hills. It was such a neat view from the top of the Mammoth Site. It was a great trip up there!
Back to nebraska. WOO HOO!!!

We decided to take in some night life in Alliance. it's not overly exciting, but we did play some Keno! And won 10 bucks! We had a few drinks, met some new people and then headed home. 1am in alliance is 2am in lincoln. Boy am I tired!

Vacation Day #2

we finally made it to a resturant that serves decent food, CHINESE! I had some yummy hot tea and some bamboo noddles. MY FAVORITE!!!
We had to go to Scottsbluff today to get some stuff at Home depot. The small town we are staying in only had two small-town hardware stores! This is a picture of Scotts Bluff, the name of the big rock. It was so big! it would be neat to climb the trails, but it was 101 degrees today. too hot for a climb!

After scottsbluff, we decided to take a walk in the wagons! it was so awesome! The weather finally cooled down and there was a nice breeze! i love wagons!
During our walk we stopped and took a rest at a pretty park area, it had a neat fountain!

Tomorrow we are going to a Mammoth Site. It is a huge museum and has bones of Mammoths that they have found there. Stand by!

Made it to Alliance!!!

All Strapped in and Ready to Go!!!

I even go to drive. There's not a lot of traffic in Nebraska on highway 2.
Western Nebraska is practically a desert. Look at this crazy plant.

Did you know that Nebraska has a forest? Me neither!
5 miles past the forest, go figure!
Welcome to A-Town. (HA BRICE!)
I decided to stop by the railroad. It was awesome! they were pulling the locomotives in and out, it was quite a site!

Safety is a #1 priority at the railroad. Panda's are always safe!
I will post more tomorrow! More excitement to come!

Lunch before Vacation

We decided to go to lunch before I went on vacation. I had a heck of a time deciding what to order.

Check out my rockin' trophy! It is for softball, that's right softball! Yeah!

They didn't have anything with bamboo, so I decided to just get an iced tea. MMM Lemon!

It was super busy in Heidelburgs. I'm not sure what was going on. It looked like a bunch of coaches or something! Lunch took forever! By the time they brought out the salads (for the people who were eating) it had been over 20 minutes, then they had to wait 10 minutes for dressing! From what I am told, salad cannot be eaten without dressing. How would I know, we don't put dressing on bamboo.

VACATION TOMORROW~WOO HOO!!
